Subaru Sambar 5.25" Door Speaker Kit KS4/KS3/KV4/KV3
Subaru Sambar 5.25" Door Speaker Kit KS4/KS3/KV4/KV3
After installing two Kicker 4x6 speakers in my dash and an Alpine head unit I was left wanting more, so I added more. I created a custom two piece speaker mount to house 5.25" Kicker speakers in the front doors. They are angled slightly up and towards the back of the vehicle to help deliver the sound to your ears instead of your legs.
This is printed in the same black ASA plastic as my other models which is heat and UV resistant making it a great material for hot interiors. Please reach out via the contact page if you would like a color other than black.
This kit requires some DIY, two 7mm holes need to be drilled in each door to mount the speaker rings. The door trim panels will need a hole cut in them as well, and wires need to be routed through the door jambs with the provided boots.
This will fit in 5th gen Subaru Sambars KS4, KS3, KV4, and KV3.
Included in the Kit:
Left & right door speaker housings
Left & right door speaker rings
Twelve door clips to mount the speaker ring (Only need 6)
Six #6 X 3/8" Phillips screws
Twelve #6 X 1/2" Phillips screws
Two door jamb boots for wiring (Updated)
Speakers are not included, I recommend the KICKER 46CSC54 5.25" speakers for these mounts but other similar size or smaller 5.25" speakers should fit.
Note: This kit is meant to fit the flat door panels as pictured and in the instructional video. If your Sambar has a molded door panel, this kit will not fit as expected.

Great fit! Added kicker ks 5.25 speakers and tweeters on the dash. Easy to install and video really helps.
Having purchased several of Aaron’s creations in the past, it was time to do something about the sound (or lack there of) in my little truck. Ordered the kit and it was here in no time (I’m on the east coast). My truck is a ‘90 round eye so there were some subtle differences. My door pillars were not drilled to pass the wiring (I used a 1-in hole saw to provide access). The speaker mounting holes patterns are different between his truck (a later KS4) and my previous generation. But these issues were easily addressed and the final product not only looks good, the sound is such a huge leap forward (I followed Aaron’s lead and used the Kicker product). The craftsmanship of Aaron’s products is top notch and I highly recommend all of his well designed and engineered parts.
The kit is high quality, and looks very nice. Just be ready for a fairly tedious install. I found it to be well worth the touble. 👍🏻👍🏻
The kit comes with everything you need and extras just in case you make mistakes. I installed this kit on a 2003 Sambar TT2. It did not line up perfectly, but with some measuring and a little drilling. It works. I went with the suggested speakers and it is such an upgrade from the stock radio. One thing I did not use for the TT2 model are the rubber boots. The TT2 hole location on the door and in the truck are further away. I used the grommet pieces provided and the stock cover. I cut a hole in the stock cover and routed my speaker wire through. Love the products, keep it up. It’s hard to find nice little upgrades for these kei trucks.
